Each
member wishing to participate on the COCAMO Board chooses
one individual to represent their organisation at the
Annual General Meeting. The Chairperson is elected at
this meeting. The Board usually meets twice a year.
The Board determines the members that sit on the Executive
Committee and the office-bearer positions. The Governing
Committee meets five to six times a year often by conference
call.
COCAMO
is an incorporated not-for-profit, non-governmental
organisation.
Members make financial contributions. Cash contributions
are fund-raised by members with charitable status from
the Canadian public.
The
Executive Director and a part time accountant constitute
the Ottawa secretariat. The Executive Director has responsibility
for overall programme strategy, coordination and staffing.
He facilitates the work of the Board and other committees.
